Common FAQ’s
- Where are you located?
We are your neighbors! We live and operate our business right here in Carlisle, MA. We are the only trash collection company servicing Carlisle whose owners also live in Carlisle. We are fellow Carlislians! - How often do you collect trash?
As of right now, we schedule collections on Tuesdays and Thursdays. However, we can schedule special pick ups on Saturdays as well. We follow the local transfer station’s schedule. - How much does your service cost?
The cost for our services is dependent on your family’s needs. Both trash and recycling collection is included in our service, and we can arrange weekly pick ups, depending on how often you need it taken. We’ll work with you! - Where do you take the trash and recycling?
As Carlisle residents, we think it’s important to support the local economy. Therefore, all the trash and recycling is taken to the transfer station.
Also, recycling is EXTREMELY important to us as a business and as a family. We have witnessed other local trash removal companies throw recycling right into the regular trash containers – which drives us crazy! We are very environmentally conscious, and we train our team on how the transfer station is set up so that they make sure to put the recyclables in the right places. You can be sure that when we pick up your recyclables, they are actually being recycled. - Do you pick up larger items, such as furniture?
Yes! We can schedule pick ups for larger items on any day of the week except Sunday. Just let us know how we can help. - Do you pick up compost?
Yes, we do! For a small additional cost each month, we can pick up your composting that the transfer station accepts. Many of our clients love to compost for their gardens, but are limited by what they can compost. The transfer station will take a lot more in their compost bin, including meats, dairy, food soiled packaging (pizza boxes, etc) and more. For a full list of what you can compost through the transfer station - How do you invoice me?
We have a cloud-based, state of the art client management software that allows us to invoice you by email each month. In addition, we use Auto-Pay so that it’s one less bill you have to worry about dealing with. Since your cost is the same every month, you can simply set it and forget it. And your credit card information is so secure, not even the owner of the company can see it! - Do I need to purchase barrels, or can you provide them?
We can provide them! If you are new to town and don’t have barrels, just let us know prior to your first pick up and we’ll drop them off within a day. We’ll bring you the trash barrel and the recycling bins that you need – and they’re yours to keep. - How should we sort our recyclables?
For our service, we ask that you sort out cardboard/paper in one bin, glass/cans in another bin, and plastic in a third bin. We sort it further from there, but we’ve found that this is the most cost effective and time effective way of handling recyclables. - What time do I need to leave everything out?
Leave everything out by 9am, and our team will pick it up by 6pm. Our schedule can change at times depending on our clients’ needs, so having everything out by 9am allows us to make last minute changes in the schedule. However, everything will be picked up as promised. - Where do I leave my bins for your team?
What our clients love the most about our white glove service is that it requires very little trash-day effort on their part. We will drive up the driveway and pick everything up from right in your garage or shed, or you can leave the bins right outside the door. This is especially nice in the winter, or if you have small children at home!
- Why don’t you use Single-Stream recycling?
Aside from supporting our local transfer station (which all of our taxes pay for), there are a lot of restrictions to Single-Stream recycling that we’ve decided were enough of a reason not to convert to this system. Single stream recycling is very basic in that they only take clean cardboard, paper, glass, cans, and small plastic bins. We are lucky in that our transfer station has an exhaustive list of recyclables they will accept, and we sort them accordingly. Please see our Fact Sheet on Single-Stream vs. Local Recycling Programs here. Being environmentally conscious and friendly is extremely important to us.
